What is it and why does it matter?
HUMAN LIFE IS SHORT. We will all die, we really don’t know how we got here, and there is as much beauty as there is tragedy in the mystery. Not to mention, it is both difficult and necessary to live with other people. Given all this, what in this precious world is a good life? How do we live in relationship? How did this all come to be in the first place? How are we to make sense of this condition? This is a uniquely human question that has given birth to a conversation that unfolds over time and involves a myriad of voices and stories.
This is why we study the humanities.
We get a glimpse into the human psyche and a sense of the imagination and creativity exercised in answering these timeless questions.
The questions give birth to more questions. And more stories.
